L-Band Solid-State Transmit/Receive Module

Abstract

Phase II of a two-phase program to develop solid-state microwave transmit/receive modules has been partially completed. Modules fabricated to exacting mechanical and electrical specification have been received from two of three manufacturers and have been extensively evaluated using a highly sophisticated, computerized test facility at the Naval Research Laboratory. The modules could be interpreted as second-generation engineering models but with many design features of preproduction units. In most cases stringent specifications were achieved.
