Space War Meets Info War: The Integration of Space and Information Operations

Abstract

The thesis of this paper is that until current legal, political and technical constraints are overcome concerning the weaponization of space, space operations should focus on integrating into the information operations campaign with the goal of gaining and maintaining information superiority. This paper will describe Space Operations and Information Operations as defined by current and draft joint publications, and then discuss the integration of these two areas to produce a synergistic effect on the operational level battlefield.
