Atherogenesis 2002, New Concepts in Plaque Vulnerability and C Reactive Protein

Abstract

The objectives of this report are to discuss the history of traditional thoughts on atherogenesis and how they have changed, discuss basic science of atherogenesis, discuss concept of plaque vulnerability, and to discuss the concept of inflammation and C- reactive protein and fibrinogen in atherogenesis.
