Environmental Assessment for Ongoing and Future Operations at U.S. Navy Dabob Bay and Hood Canal Military Operating Areas

Abstract

Pursuant to section 102(2) (C) of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and the Council on Environmental Quality regulations (40 CFS Parts 1500-1508) implementing the procedural provisions of NEPA, the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) of the Department of the Navy gives notice that an Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared for the proposed action of implement inc an Operations Management Plan for ongoing and future operations at the U.S. Navy Dabob Bay and Hood Canal Military Operating Areas (MOAs) and connecting waters in the State of Washington. Based on the EA it has been determined that an Environmental Impact Statement (ElS) is not required for the proposed action.
