Fuhrungsqualitat (Quality of Leadership)

Abstract

This brief essay examines the basis for leadership, its dimensions, and the instruments necessary for measuring the quality of leadership. The author mentions that new definitions of leadership have arisen in recent years due to the given manager's ability to adjust to difficult situations: the notion that the quality of leadership contains predominantly efficiency, effectiveness, and bottom-line results, gradually is being superceded by an emphasis on preparedness to alter one's plans, capacity for change, and success rate retention, in very much an "ends-justify-the-means" outlook. The economic output or turnover of a given company nonetheless cannot be disregarded ultimately.
