Design Considerations for Micro-Surgical Tools

Abstract

Micro-surgery is a clinical practice where the clinician is working at or beyond the threshold of human dexterity. The tools available to surgeons are conventional in their design and this provides a limit to what can be achieved, This paper describes considerations and possible methods for applying new technologies to assist in practice.
