Endoluminal Loop Radiofrequency Coils for Gastrointestinal Wall Imaging

Abstract

In this paper, we describe the optimization of endoluminal planar coils for high-resolution Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of gastrointestinal walls. Based on simulations, single-loop RF coils were designed. Experimental verifications were performed on a 1.5 T clinical scanner. Developed prototypes provided a dramatic increase in signal-to-noise ratio at the region of interest.
