Aesthetic Impact Analysis of the Proposed Shallow Draft Barge Facility at the Point Arguello Boathouse

Abstract

It is incumbent on designers to preserve the aesthetic qualities of scenic areas (that are to eliminate or minimize adverse visual impacts). In order to accomplish this, a method of evaluating the aesthetic value of sites and facilities is needed. This report provides a systematic approach to aesthetic evaluation a pursuit generally assumed to be subjective.
