Value-Based Decision-Making in Prostate Cancer Early Detection

Abstract

The specific aims were to (1) develop and pilot test an intervention to facilitate informed decision-making about prostate cancer screening, (2) measure intervention impact on screening, and (3) evaluate impact on patient knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs. We hypothesized that exposure to decision counseling would affect prostate cancer screening and related perceptions.
