Coherent Structures and Chaos in Beam Plasmas

Abstract

This report summarizes our research carried out under the auspices of the above referenced grant from December 1. 1999 to November 30, 2002. The goal of this research was to investigate coherent structures and chaos in beam plasmas in regimes relevant to the development of advanced high-power microwave (HPM) sources for directed energy applications. The report is organized as follows. In Sections 1-5, a brief summary of our research accomplishments is presented in selected areas. In Section 6, a brief description of our interactions with Air Force Research Laboratory, industries and other academic institutions is given. In Section 7, references are cited.
