Quality of Life and Cost of Care of Prostate Cancer Patients

Abstract

Due to uncertainty in the screening and treatment, debate on outcomes such as quality of and cost of care continues. The objective of this study is to assess the effects of differential treatments for prostate cancer for different ethnic groups, on quality of life and cost of care for the elderly. Another issue of interest is the comparison of efficiency and quality of care for prostate cancer offered in two distinct health care systems: Veterans Affairs (VA) and non-VA.
