Joint C4I Interoperability-A Look at the Process for Army Transformation

Abstract

Network Centric Warfare (NOW) is truly the embodiment of an information age transformation for the Department of Defense (DoD). It will involve new ways of thinking about how we accomplish our mission. It will also require new ways of operating that have not been conceived and employs technologies yet to be invented. Joint integration and joint interoperability will be absolutely required to effectively command and control the battle space of the future. The purpose of this strategic project report is to examine the DoD processes and policies that are in place to ensure joint compliancy for Army command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C41) equipment as we move towards DoD and Army transformation.
