Installation Resources and Condition Survey (IRCS)

Abstract

This study determined the status of data to be used for stationing analyses. The data bases investigated were the Headquarters Real Property Planning and Analysis System (HQRPLANS) and the Army Stationing and Installations Planning (ASIP). There were several items which were forwarded to the contractors managing the data bases for possible improvement. These items were administrative and workspaces for contractors, and production space for arsenals and depots. There is also a period of time when the ASIP and HQRPLANS are out of synchronization between July and December. This can result in discrepancies between personnel counts for the same unit identification codes (UICs). After the December update of the HQRPLANS, these differences are remedied. Site visits were recommended to insure that available spaces are actual and contiguous.
