A Joint Sebasing Operational Concept

Abstract

The paper presents an argument for the requirement and operational viability of a joint seabasing (JSE) concept. It will focus on identifying major challenges confronting the Joint Force Commander (JFC) currently and out to 2020 and describe how those challenges manifest themselves in the operational environment faced by the JFC. It will also describe the JSE concept, its design and how JSE functions in 2015 in a focused vignette. Finally it will address the potential vulnerabilities of JSE and draw conclusions and suggest recommendations for JSE development.
