The Information Revolution in Asia

Abstract

The information revolution is bringing about profound changes in political and economic life across the globe. RAND has embarked on a multiyear effort to chart trends in these changes out through the next ten to 20 years and around the world. The current volume investigates several aspects of the information revolution in the Asia-Pacific region, including the extent to which Asian nations produce or use information technology (IT), the political effect of such technology, and the future implications of IT for Asia.
