Department of Defense Chemical and Biological Defense Program. Volume 2: FY2001-2003 Performance Plan

Abstract

This volume of the Department of Defense Chemical and Biological Defense Program Annual Report to Congress provides a performance plan and assessment for the period of FY01 FY03. This performance plan demonstrates compliance with the requirements of the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), which requires agencies to submit an annual performance plan to Congress. This plan establishes a process by which the CBDP can measure the effectiveness of the various projects under the CBDP and assessing their contributions to the operational goals and the mission of the program. This process provides a tool for identifying strengths and weaknesses in the development and execution of programs. This plan also will act as a reference document to aid in the effective oversight and management of the program. The plan serves the purpose of provide an assessment of the performance of the most recently completed fiscal year (FY01) and provides the performance targets against which activities conducted during FY02 and FY03 will be assessed. The data collection period for this report was October 2001 through February 2002.
