DoD HIV/AIDS Prevention Program: April 2002 Country Progress Report

Abstract

The Naval Health Research Center serves as the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Executive Agent for the DoD HIV/AIDS Prevention Program in Africa. This joint services program focuses on African uniformed personnel and complements US Agency for International Development and Centers for Disease Control initiatives to mitigate the African HIV/AIDS pandemic. The current report summarizes in-country progress for the 22 African nations engaged by the program as of April 2002.
