Polar Cap Dynamics and Formation of High-Latitude Ionospheric Irregularities

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking University of Oslo as follows: The contractor will Investigate the probability of scintillation (rapid variations in ionosphere electrical properties) deep within the polar cap as a function of Universal Time. The objective of this research is to determine if a relationship exists and if so can the pmbability be predicted days or weeks in advance.
