Role of Angiogenesis in the Etiology and Prevention of Ovarian Cancer. 3. Rational Antiangiogenic Peptide Design-Effect on Ovarian Cancer Growth

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to evaluate de novo synthesis of a short polypeptides, which is capable of inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. As tumor growth in general and ovarian cancer in particular is associated with angiogenesis1 the synthetic peptide can be used to inhibit growth and peritoneal seeding of ovarian cancer.
