User's Guide for Combiman Programs (COMputerized BIomechanical MAN-Model) Version 8

Abstract

This User's Guide describes the procedures to operate the Harry G. Armstrong Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory's (AAMRL) COMputerized BIomechanical MAN-model (COMBIMAN) programs. The guide is based on the program as of January 1989. It deals with the conventions used to develop and analyze crew stations, the generation of the man-model and the operation of the programs included in the COMBIMAN system. These programs include the interactive graphics program (CBM08) and the three key data base maintenance programs; CBMAM (creates and maintain anthropometric survey data bases), CBMCM2 (creates and maintains crew station configurations) and CBMODM (creates and maintains vision limit overlays). There are also complete descriptions for two other programs, CBMOFF and CADCBM. CBMOFF is a program for off-line plotting. CADCBM is used to convert drawings from a specific Computer-Aided Design (CAD) system drawing files for use with COMBIMAN programs. For users who do not have an on-line plotting capability, the program CBM08NOPL is included to use in place of CBMOS.
