Abstract

The Air Force Journal of Logistics provides an open forum for the presentation of issues, ideas, research, and information of concern to logisticians who plan, acquire, maintain, supply, transport, and provide supporting engineering and services for military aerospace forces. It is a non-directive, quarterly periodical published under AFR 5-7. Views expressed in the articles are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the established policy of the Department of Defense, the Department of the Air Force, the Air Force Logistics Management Center, or the organization where the author works. This special issue is entitled: AFLMC Niches its Way into Desert Shield/Storm History. Some topics of the articles included are Air Power in the Persian Gulf: an Initial Search for the Right Lessons, Moral Logistics: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, the Airlift Clearance Authority: Providing Shipper Services at the Aerial Port, Forecasting and Modeling Using PC-Based Software: A Challenge and an Opportunity for Professional Logisticians.
