Abstract

The Air Force Journal of Logistics is a non-directive quarterly periodical published in accordance with AFR 5-1 to provide an open forum for presentation of research, ideas, issues, and information of concern to professional Air Force logisticians and other interested personnel. Views expressed in the articles are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the established policy of the Department of Defense, the Department of the Air Force, the Air Force Logistics Management Center, or the organization where the author works. This issue contains articles on the various topics: Application of Scheduling Heuristics to the USAF Aircraft Management Depot, Modification of the Standard Base Supply System Stock Leveling Techniques, Load Planning, Rapid Mobilization, and the Computer, Precepts for Life Cycle Management. Other departments include USAF logistics policy insight, career and personnel information, technology transfer, and USAF logistics capability assessment.
