United States Special Operations Forces Strategic Employment

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to eva%uate the employment of specia operations forces and determine if proposed changes in force composition and strategic employment supports Department of Defense Transformation and the Nationa Security Strategy. It is hypothesized that United States Special Operations Command will undergo major changes in roles and responsibilities that will impact current operations and future requirements. This study will consider the current special operations force structures to include active and reserve components. This analysis will recommend future force structure and employment that will best support the National Security Strategy.
