Sacramento River Flood Control Project, California, Mid-Valley Area, Phase III. Design Memorandum, Volume 1 of 2

Abstract

The purpose of this Design Memorandum (DM) is to present the results of engineering studies and investigations prior to preparing plans and specifications for construction. This DM provides the basis for local interest and cost-sharing agreements; preparation of plans and specifications; acquisition of lands, easements, and rights-of-way; accomplishment of relocations; and operation and maintenance. The basis of design for the project is outlined, cost and benefit data are presented, and requirements of local cooperation are explained. This DM pertains exclusively to the Mid-Valley Area Levee Reconstruction, Phase Ill, of the Sacramento River Flood Control Project.
