Infrared Focal Plane Arrays Based on Semiconductor Quantum Dots

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking Technion Research Authority as follows: The contractor will investigate the feasibility of implementing quantum dot infrared photodetectors (QDIP) for operation in the mid- and long-infrared regions. It is expected that much better signal-to-noise ratio will be obtained, and normal incidence detection will be possilble.
