Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore nurses' use of nonpharmacological interventions in pain management for hospitalized oncology patients through the following questions. What types of nonpharmacological interventions, were nurses using in the pain management of hospitalized oncology patients? Was there a difference in the patient's numerical rating scale (NRS) score before and after nonpharmacological interventions? Was there a patient gender difference in the frequency and type of nonpharmacological interventions in hospitalized oncology patients?
