Abstract
This Phase 2 (PH2) Remedial Investigation (RI) Technical Pan was prepared for the Oleum Plant located at the Manufacturing Area of Joliet Army Ammunition Plant (JAAP), Joliet Illinois. This plan was prepared In accordance with the Federal Facilities Agreement (FFA) between the U.S. Army Environmental Center (USAEC; formerly USATHAMA), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Region V. and Illinois EPA The plan presents the planned PH2 field investigation at the site. The purpose of the plan is to provide the sampling procedures and rationale for the proposed sampling activities that are intended to fill data gaps identified during the Implementation of the Phase I field activities. The data gathered during the Implementation of this plan will be used to define the nature and extent of contamination and to assess potential risks to human health and the environment posed by any contamination detected.
