Data Source Discovery in Coalition Operations, Syndicate 2 Final Report

Abstract

The group addressed the issue of information and data source discovery in a real-time NATO or coalition operational environment. The group analyzed a conceptual approach to the design of an interactive visualization system to be used for data resource discovery. Needs and requirements are discussed through a process of answering (in part) six key questions that would guide system design. The group chose a usecase for illustration. The group concludes by recommending that the issue of data resource discovery, understanding, and availability in a NATO operation be further studied.
