Protection Factor Testing of the Allegro Industries Continuous Flow, Disposable Air Hood Respirator

Abstract

This test evaluated the performance of the Allegro supplied air disposable hood. Human subjects wore the hood into a corn oil aerosol environment where they performed exercises for simulated work. The ratio of the concentration inside the hood to outside the hood is the protection factor. The hood achieved 100% passing at a protection factor of 80,000.
