Sensing-Computing-Actuating Multi Target Tracking System

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking AnaLogic Computers Ltd. as follows: The Grantee will investigate a real-time multi-target tracking and actuating system. The tracking algorithm will be implemented on the Cellular Neural Network (CNN) visual microprocessor technology (called the ACE-BOX Visual Computer with the ACE16K CNN chip). Tracking will include selective identification based on shape and size. A high-speed CMOS camera will provide image streams of moving objects displayed on a screen to the Visual Computer. The system will be connected to a switchable laser actuator (such as a laser pointer) which will be used to mark the targets. The proposed schematic diagram of the system and other details are provided in the technical proposal and amendment.
