Modeling High Pressure Micro Hollow Cathode Discharges

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking CPAT as follows: The Grantee will perform theoretical modeling of point, surface, and volume high-pressure plasmas created using Micro Hollow Cathode Discharge sources. The primary goal is to better understand the fundamental physics of these discharges in order to optimize operating conditions and develop more efficient devices.
