Fire Resistant Closed Cell Foams for Aircraft Shelters Technical Review

Abstract

The objective of the overall effort is to develop a fire resisting closed cell foam with intumescent capabilities in order to effectively increase fire insulation and enhance safe egress time from aircraft shelters in cases of fire. The present report addresses the technical review of the state-of-the-art in intumescence matrix components.
