2004 Defense Economics Conference: Informing the Debate on Military Compensation

Abstract

The Institute for Defense Analyses organizes and hosts the annual Defense Economics Conference in cooperation with the Office of the Director, Program Analysis and Evaluation, in the Department of Defense. The 2004 Defense Economics Conference was held in Alexandria, Virginia, on June 9, 2004. Invited speakers spoke on topics related to military compensation, and three panels of experts focused on active duty compensation, Reserve and National Guard compensation, and military compensation from the perspective of Capitol Hill. This document contains the proceedings of the conference.
