Joint Doctrine for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction

Abstract

This publication sets forth the principles to plan for and conduct operations for combating weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their means of delivery. This publication addresses joint military action to eliminate the threat of WMD and their means of delivery to the United States, its forces, and our allies. It provides guidance on joint and multinational operations and interagency coordination. This publication complements joint doctrine promulgated in Joint Publication 3-11, Joint Doctrine for Operations in Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) Environments.
