Next Generation (XG) Architecture and Protocol Development (XAP)

Abstract

The DARPA XG program seeks to develop and demonstrate adaptive spectrum utilization techniques which can be used to access unused spectrum without interference to incumbent users. This report describes the progress which was made to develop an XG architecture which is capable of accommodating a wide range of adaptive protocols operating within the bounds of spectral policy. Additionally this development included the definition of a machine readable policy language and a policy conformance reasoner to validate if candidate transmissions are compliant to spectrum policy.
