Abstract

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: (1) Technical tasks are performed throughout all skill levels; (2) Career ladder documents well supported by survey data; (3) Job satisfaction indicators are positive. WORK PERFORMED: (1) Controls en route and terminal air traffic by use of visual radar, and non-radar means; (2) Supervises and manages air traffic control (ATC) facilities; (3) Initiates and issues ATC clearances, instructions, and advisories to ensure safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic operating under instrument and visual flight rules; (4) Plans, organizes, directs, inspects, and evaluates ATC activities.
