Interactive Broadcasting and Community Informatics

Abstract

This paper explores the potential of interactive broadcasting - a combination of more traditional communications technologies such as radio and telephony with internet based web conferencing as a mechanism for community development and the engagement of citizens in the use of the latest new media technologies to support sustainable development.
