Abstract

This technical note provides design guidance for lateral confinements used to reduce the release of contaminants from confined disposal facilities (CDFs) containing contaminated dredged sediments. Design requirements, geotechnical considerations, material selection, required thickness, construction, quality control, and monitoring are included.
