Bedforms and Closure Depth on Equilibrium Beaches

Abstract

Bedforms establish a closure depth that determines the seaward extent of mine burial and exposure associated with changes in beach profiles. These relations have been coded in the VORTEX mine burial model and field tested (Jenkins and Inman, in press; Jenkins et al., in revision).
