Design and Characterization of Long-Haul Single-Channel Intensity-Modulated Analog Fiber-Optic Links

Abstract

We present a self-contained guide for the design and characterization of long-haul single-channel intensity-modulated analog fiber-optic links. A high-performance 20 km fiber delay line is used to demonstrate the design considerations that are developed.
