Business Organizational Systems Framework Model Application and Analysis

Abstract

For this project, the authors used the Organizational Systems Framework (OSF) model, coupled with the skills learned through their MBA core courses, to analyze a local business. Through this analysis they discover possible organizational problems in the business and then provide recommendations for change. The project is intended to help the organization identify its strengths and weaknesses, define/redefine its mission, understand its competitive advantage, and increase its overall long-term profit objectives. The authors also take the lessons learned from their analysis and consider the lessons' applicability to the Department of Defense (DoD). This MBA Project allowed the authors to become familiar with the OSF model through a real world business analysis.
