Pipe Storage and Movement Study

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate various pipe purchasing, handling and storage practices in the shipbuilding industry. From these evaluations, recommendations were made for reducing material costs and improving productivity in accordance with the objectives of the National Shipbuilding Kesearch Program, under the aspects of the Merchant Marine Act of l97O.
