Abstract

This report documents the activities of Dr. Allan L. Forbes, member of the Interdepartmental Committee on Nutrition for National Defense (ICNND), National Institutes of Health, who visited the Republic of Korea (ROK) from 27 September to 1 October 1960. During his visit, the programs and progress in nutrition since the 1956 health survey were discussed with ROK government officials, officers from the Republic of Korea Army, U.S. military officers, U.S. Embassy officials, and ROK researchers. The nutrition programs he focused on were those set up for the ROK Armed Forces.
