Unsteady Outflow of the Vapour into Vacuum from the Flat Surface

Abstract

Unsteady expansion of the vapour into vacuum from the flat surface was studied by the direct simulation Monte-Carlo method. The vapour was considered as monatomic gas (the model of hard spheres). The flow structure and parameters in the ranges of flow regimes from free-molecular to continual were investigated.
