Structural Vibration Modeling and Validation. Modeling Uncertainty and Stochastic Control for Structural Control

Abstract

This technical report presents part of the results and findings from the Structural Vibration Modeling and Validation in-house research effort conducted by the Large Deployable Optics program in collaboration with General Dynamics. This effort was part of a larger program involving two contractors, Lockheed Martin and ITT. This report focuses on model uncertainty and robust control analysis and techniques available in the open literature and how these methods are applicable to the SVMV paradigm. The literature review presented here provides a starting point for future analyses.
