Size-Selected Cluster Deposition Applied to Monopropellant Catalysts

Abstract

Size-selected cluster deposition was used to prepare model Ir/alumina catalysts and hydrazine decomposition over such catalysts was studied. Strong effects of both cluster size and alumina preparation conditions were observed. A novel pulsed, inert, ultra-high vacuum-compatible hydrazine inlet system is described.
