Abstract

OVERVIEW: 1. Background: (a) Understanding the Value Added Analysis Process; 2. Challenges: (a) Demand for quick-turnaround analysis; (b) Non-monotonic relationships between parameters and VIC outcomes; (c) Statistical analysis to support accurate decision making; 3. Our Answer: (a) Induce stochastic variation in VIC runs through perturbation; (b) Utilize statistical tests for comparisons of options; 4. Benefit: (a) More accurate decisions about equipment trades using VIC as part of the Value-Added Analysis process.
