Estimation of Marine Infantry Rifle Squad Load Weight

Abstract

OBJECTIVES: (1) Define the weight of the combat loaded infantry rifle squad by billet and as a group; (2) Establish appropriate weight limits for the combat load; (3) Determine a representational squad load out, by billet, for various operational modes; (4) Develop a tool to estimate load weight for the squad across the Marine Expeditionary Rifle Squad (MERS) mission categories and operational modes.
