Semantic Web Technologies for Mobile Context-Aware Services

Abstract

The emergence of Semantic Web Services and automated service discovery, access and composition functionality will enable higher levels of interoperability and automation across a broad range of contexts (e.g. intra- and interorganization collaboration, dynamic virtual enterprises, coalition forces, pervasive computing, etc.). The objective of this project was to demonstrate, validate and disseminate Semantic Web technologies aimed at reconciling the interoperability and confidentiality requirements associated with these scenarios, focusing in particular on mobile, context-aware services. This final performance report provides a comprehensive, cumulative and substantive summary of the progress and significant accomplishments achieved during the course of this project.
