Multifunctional Toxin Decontamination Coatings for Sustained Protection of People and the Environment

Abstract

CONCLUSION: Proof-of-principle for the protection of individuals and the environment from chemical agents is established. (1) Lightweight, reusable fabrics with mechanically stable coatings; (2) Filters for decontamination of water supplies; (3) Sustained catalytic activity independent of solvent, buffer or temperature.
